Openings:

CNC Lathe

Major Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.

Write programs in FANUC and/or YASNAC language to set specified rotation speeds, feed rates, and depth of cuts (excluding manual turning machinists).

Must be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permits.

Set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to fabricate tools, mechanisms, and machines for experimental purposes.

Minimum Requirements: Two year certificate from college or technical/machine school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


CNC Milling

Major Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.

Write programs in various CNC languages to set specified rotation speeds, feed rates, and depth of cuts.

Must be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permits.

Set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to fabricate tools, mechanisms, and machines for experimental purposes.

Minimum Requirements: Two year certificate from college or technical/machine school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Deburrer/Finisher

Major Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Be able to read and demonstrate a comprehension of a blueprint's dimensions, tolerances, as well as surface finish call outs required for parts.

Debur parts using pencil air grinder, pedestal deburring wheel, drill press, tumbler capable, 6" & 1" belt sander, sand & glass bead blaster, and microscope. Uses hand tools such as deburring knives chamfer tools, sheet sandpaper and files to finish parts.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training in a machine shop; or equivalent combination of education and experience


INSPECTOR

Major Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions and tolerances.

Perform first piece, in process and final inspection. Inspect and test parts per established criteria and record results on appropriate documentation.  Examines material or product for surface defects.

Perform various dimensional inspections; starts up and executes programs on the coordinate measuring machine (CMM), vision systems, and optical comparator; interprets results.  Perform various manual inspections using gages, microscopes, thread gages, micrometers, surface plate, and other dimensional inspection systems; understands basic x, y, z coordinate concepts.

Maintain product traceability and non-conforming material/product control in accordance with documented procedures. 

Participate in internal audits; assist control of process documentation; records and equipment calibration.

Minimum Requirements: Two-year certificate from college or technical/machine school; or two years minimum experience in a similar position in a machine shop and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

SWISS

Major Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.

Must be able to write programs in G & M Code/Fanuc to set specified rotation speeds, feed rates, and depth of cuts; set-up and operate machine tools.

Must be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permits.
Set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to fabricate tools, mechanisms, and machines for experimental purposes.

Minimum Requirements: Two year certificate from college or technical/machine school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Wire EDM Machinist

Major Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.
