Metal Craft is a provider of deep hole drilling, gun drilling, and honing. This is a reliable method of drilling short and deep holes with excellent burr- and chip-free finishes. Deep holes are when the hole length is more than seven times the drill’s diameter.
Metal Craft is capable of drilling holes with diameters of 1/8 to 1 1/8 inch up to 36 inches in length using high pressure oil. Close tolerance gun drilling with multiple shapes is available, including circles, squares, and rectangles. We drill holes that are straight within .001 per inch. Our products are used in all industries, from aerospace to construction and to your own lawn and garden.
Deep hole drilling is possible with many materials. Some materials that we have worked with include, but are not limited to, 17-4 SS, 13-8 SS, 15-5 SS, as well as the 300 and 400 series stainless steel, copper, brass, tantalum, aluminum, plastics, and cold rolled plate and sheet metal. Metal Craft also has dedicated specialty equipment to provide you with these high precision holes.
